Their remains have been found in UTAH and South DAKOTA United States and possibly also in AFRICA.
HISTORY
The first remains of the Barosaurus were discovered in South Dakota by Ms. E. R. Ellerman in 1889.
DESCRIPTION
Barosaurus was a large, but typical Diplodocido with a long neck and a long tail in the shape of the whip. The Barosaurus was a huge animal, with some adults measuring more than 26 meters in lenght and a weight of more than 20 tons.
CURIOSITIES
It has a close relative: The Diplodocus, many aspects of the Barosaurus make it similar to the Diplodocus, but with differences, how many higher dorsal spines with a shorter tail and a longer neck, probaly 14 meters longer.
